It is time for Alfie to go up to bed, and his parents do not have time to take him up. When he gets to his room, there is a catfish there who is from the lake at the end of his garden. The catfish represents that there is always someone for us, a friend to keep and someone looking over them. This could be a family member, a pet, a soft toy, or even a favorite toy.
